On Saturday 8th of May 2021, I went to the Lekki Conservation center. This blog post is 1) my review 2) a guide to enjoying Lekki Conservation center.
PRICE AND MONEY
The price was reasonable. The canopy walk was 2000 naira and the drudge walk was 1000 naira. The only thing that was expensive was the refreshments. Drinks and other refreshments were overpriced. They were clearly taking advantage of the fact that you can’t bring food into the park. Put all these factors into consideration when planning your budget for Lekki Conservation center.
THE CANOPY WALK
I was told this is the longest canopy walk in Africa. You climb the canopy walk in a group of six people. The standing tower (where you relax) only allows 12 people at a time.
Honestly, I believe it because I was waiting for it to end. This was simultaneously fun and extremely terrifying. It was fun but I am never doing it again. It was so high, I felt like I would fall to my death. This experience found its way into my dreams, so it’s clear I won’t forget it.
THE PARK
The park was alright. If I am being honest, I was just at the park to catch my breath after the canopy walk. The suya I took was great. The drink was great.
SIDE NOTE: Buy shawarma at your own risk why? The monkeys there like shawarma. When they smell it, they would definitely come towards you.
The chess “adaptation” looked really nice. I didn’t play though, just went there to take pictures.
I genuinely enjoyed myself. It is a great place to go with friends and family. If I ever go back, I would probably not do the canopy walk. This isn’t me stopping you but Iretomiwa isn’t doing that again.
