Hello, my name is Iretomiwa, and HAPPY NEW YEAR. In the spirit of the new year, I decided to “start afresh”, welcome to MIDDLE WORDS.
Thing is that I had a blog – www.theinkygypsy.com that I have outgrown.
Well, how did we get here?
Inky gypsy wasn’t the initial plan, the Black nomad was the initial choice but couldn’t get the domain name and we had to improvise. Gypsy was meant to show that I don’t have a “traditional niche” because I talked about anything I liked. Didn’t want to box me in because honestly, I like to write on plenty of things. Anyway fast forward, two years later we have outgrown inky gypsy we are now at Middle words.
What is “Middle words”?
Middle words is my little corner of the internet where I attempt to show the center in a world of extremes. Where we both navigate different (especially heterodox) ideas. There are going to be 5 categories, namely :
Thoughts: Where I share my perspective on a myriad of topics.
Review/recommendations: Where I do reviews on books I have read, documentaries, and movies I have watched, albums I have listened to. Would also be recommending my favourite things.
Diary: This would serve as a not-so-personal update about my life.
Features: This is where other people would get the opportunity to write for middle words.
Spotlight: Here I shine the spotlight on someone I think that has either done or is doing spectacular things in any field.
