If you know me, you would know I love k dramas. So as the k drama evangelist (someone called me this lmao) I have come to tell you about the 2021 K dramas I have seen.
First

Now to the dramas
VINCENZO
Synopsis of the k drama
This is the story of Vincenzo Cassano, an Italian lawyer, and consigliere for the mafia. He is on a quest to recover 1.5 tons of gold that he helped a recently dead Chinese tycoon secretly stash in the basement of Geumga plaza. Unfortunately, a real estate company under the Babel group has illegally taken ownership of the building. Vincenzo teams up with lawyer Hong Cha-young to reclaim the building and recover his fortunes. It is staring Song Joong-ki, Jeon Yeo-been, and Ok Taec-yeon.
My thoughts
I loved this k drama. If you follow me on social media you would know this because I talked about it a lot. Aside from the fact that my fav Song Joong-ki is here, it was a very, very good k drama.
Yes, Song Joong-ki can probably be clapping throughout and I would think he deserves an Oscar (LMAO). It’s not because of my love for SJK that I am praising this k drama but it’s actually good. There was plenty of laughter, excitement, and a few really sad moments.
* It is available on Netflix. *
LAW SCHOOL
Synopsis of the k drama
Set in Hankuk University Law School, this series tells the story of how professors and students in the school are forced to solve a very unusual case. It all begins when a professor is killed at the school. Another Professor, Professor Yang is arrested and the investigation begins.
It is starring Kim Bum, Kim Myung-min, Ryu Hye-young, and Lee Jung-Eun.
My thoughts
This show had me glued to my screen for weeks. Just when I thought I had figured it out, another thing comes and flips the script. As you can see here and here, it is very clear that this show had me hooked. You would definitely become a detective while watching this show.
*This show is also available on Netflix.*
DOOM AT YOUR SERVICE
Synopsis of the k drama
Tak Dok-Kyung, an Editor for a web novel company lives a fairly normal life till she walks into a series of unfortunate events. On the same day, she finds out that she is dying from glioblastoma and has three months to live. As well as the fact that her boyfriend has a wife and he is a father to be.
While she was drinking her problems away, she wishes for the world to be doomed. That wish was heard by Myul Mang (doom). Since it was his birthday, he chose her wish as the wish to fulfill.
My thoughts
As of when I am writing it, this is an ongoing k drama. It’s pretty good even though I foresee plenty of sadness and tears in front. The chemistry between the two main leads is great. It’s so great, I am always waiting for them to kiss. I would probably write more about this on Instagram when the show ends.
MOUSE
Synopsis
“Mouse” is a k drama that tries to tackle the questions of :
- What if psychopaths can feel remorse for their actions?
- Is it possible to spot a psychopath in the mother’s womb with fetal genetic testing?
- If the child is a psychopath is it wise to have that child?
My thoughts
Let me start by saying, I haven’t finished this series. Had a lot going on and I haven’t been able to finish it. Now, I know you are thinking “ then how can you give an accurate assessment?”. Well, the episodes I have watched so far have been exhilarating. There is a lot going on. It looks like a very, very good show as far as I can tell with the episodes I have watched.
IMITATION
Synopsis of the k drama
In order to make ends meet when her idol deputing dreams were crushed, Lee Ma-ha supports herself by imitating singer La Ri-Ma. She and the other members of her group, Omega III are given another chance at stardom when Ji Hak recruits them. Ji Hak was the former manager of a popular boy group called Shax. He intends to rebrand Omega III into Tea party. As a result of this, Ma-ha is thrust into the spotlight.
My thoughts
Even though this is an ongoing drama. It feels slow to me. The main leads are going through a love-hate cycle that I am honestly getting tired of. The only thing that has stood out to me so far is the crazy fans.

I’ve watched Vincenzo and while SJK is the loml, I don’t think it’s a very good drama. I think it’s mid and just okay.
Doom at your service!!! You are absolutely right by saying you foresee plenty of tears and sadness for later on. I like the chemistry between Dong Kyung and Myul Mang. However, I keep wondering where the guy who plays the character Cha Joo-ik has been my whole life. He’s just soooooo cool.
I plan to watch Law School and Mouse soon. The reviews I’ve heard about them are nice.
And yes, I’d love it if you’d put up more posts like this. 🥰
