*Dust off cobwebs*
If you have been following my blog, you would notice I have been writing consistently for months keeping up with my new year resolutions. Then, I suddenly disappeared for weeks.
Well, I am back!
I can’t say it’s one thing that made me not write on my blog, it was different factors. I was busy living life that I just didn’t want to.
Anyway, let us catch up! Let me tell you the things I have been up to since being away.
#WEEKLYMUSINGS
Inspired by @whatdamidid and @freemaofficial to start my own version of #mondaymusings called #weeklymusings on Instagram. It serves a way for me to write my thoughts that can’t make it into the blog. Click the links below to read:

THE RISE AND FALL OF MARS HILL
I have been listening to this podcast called “The rise and fall of Mars hill” which is about Mark Driscoll and the rise and fall of Mars hill. I have a lot of thoughts.
First, I would like to say I see a lot of parallels between Mark Driscoll’s running of Mars hill and a lot of Nigerian evangelicalism and mega churches. From how he viewed and talked about women to his relationship with power, I just kept on thinking about how a lot of Nigerian churches are like this.
I can’t say I am hopeful that these churches wouldn’t crash and burn because
- We don’t have the guardrails that even attempted to challenge and checked Mark Driscoll.
- Our relationship to power and authority is very rigid and kinda “authoritarian” especially in these churches that I don’t see how some of these buses can even reroute.
I just want to end saying that this podcast is well done and I recommend it because, it can give us (Christians) lessons on how not to create toxic environments.
ANTI-VACCINE CONSPIRACY THEORIES
I have been very surprised by the anti vaccine conspiracy theories. From the mark of the beast to covid leading to magnetism to vaccines infecting people with Covid. I would just like to say that this is not a battle against flesh and blood. It is a battle against principalities and Patrick (from spongebob) intellect. LMAO.
On a more serious note, please get vaccinated when vaccines become available in Nigeria.
The vaccine helps:
- In reducing the rate of infection.
- In reducing the level of sickness.
- In reducing the overall death rate from Covid-19.
Overall, I have been reading more, listening to a lot of podcasts and music and watching more shows on Netflix.
