This was supposed to be me just saying terrible K dramas you should probably not see. For some reason, I was not coming up with many. So I decided to ask k drama social media people and now I have this post. Anyway to k drama people on social media people.

So let us begin with our terrible k dramas list.

MY ID IS GANGNAM BEAUTY

This show is an absolute disaster. The story is very flat and the acting is below average. Yes, the show discussed beauty standards and bullying but generally, it is bad. I think the only thing I liked about the show was the attempt to “discuss” those important issues. That and the outfits weren’t bad. 

BRIDE OF HABAEK

To put it lightly, this show isn’t worth watching. The effects are all over the place. Acting on this show is not only bad but sometimes cringe. I don’t even know what in the world that storyline is. The god is quite narcissistic and the female lead was moving between hating him and being attracted to him. Only good thing I can see here is fine faces and fine outfits.

TRUE BEAUTY

This is one of the worst k dramas I have ever seen in my life. The storyline was all over the place, especially in the last episode. That last episode was so chaotic. It was honestly a waste of data and time. The only good thing was the abundance of people with beautiful faces. I want reparations for my time and data from everyone involved in making this show.

*I am guessing you have noticed that two Cha Eun-woo movies are already featured. You are probably thinking “ this is an anti-Eunwoo blog post”. Just here to say that’s not the point of this. I do think he is a terrible actor and should just stick to k-pop but that’s not the point.*

PERSONAL TASTE

As a fan of Lee Min Ho, I am going to say that this is his worst drama. The storyline was everywhere aside from the realm of common sense. Especially the end, I was like “Ermm okay?!”. The revenge was low key satisfying sha but I don’t like the drama as a whole. Honestly, would like for this show to be memory holed.

PLAYFUL KISS

 The male lead was just unnecessarily mean to the female lead. I think the aim of it was to be funny and when I watched it several years ago, it was kinda funny. As an adult watching it again, it just made me cringe. Also, the way the second male lead stuck to the female lead like a fly even after being rejected was “I don’t know about this one”. Everything in the show just felt exaggerated.

BIRTH OF A BEAUTY

This show felt cartoonish to watch. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the general concept of revenge. Still, I think portraying how plastic surgery solved most of the female lead’s problems is a bit unrealistic. It did tackle the important issues like beauty standards, plastic surgery etc, I would give it that. I do think the show was kinda unrealistic and out of touch.

This blog post would probably have several other parts like a series. We all know, that as much as there are good k dramas, there would be terrible k dramas. So, expect many more.
